When Michael walked into the Publix grocery store at St. Pete Beach for some routine maintenance work one day, he happened upon the absolute love of his life - Kate.
She was working in produce, and was used to the regular stream of HVAC specialists that filed in to work on the store's many cooling systems. They would come in, go about their business efficiently and politely, and leave a few hours later. So when another navy blue Advanced uniform appeared in front of her, she wasn't expecting to look up - straight into Michael's green eyes - and turn a rather embarrassing shade of beet red.
Michael came in a few times before Kate had the courage to speak to him. When she finally did, it became clear the two were meant to meet. What Kate didn't know was that not long after they first met, Michael had called his mom to profess his undying love for 'the girl at Store 139'. He had immediately known that she was 'the one'.
Michael and Kate shared love of the outdoors, strong family values, and an immediate loving bond. He brought her into our family, and we are forever grateful to have her.

Mike was a great person, and a great friend. The best of friends. I had the pleasure of working with mike for some time. When he was stressed about work I gave him some advice. Just a few words. He seemed to have listened to my advice and his stress had gone away. The funny thing is when I was stressed and I didn’t let anybody know Mike always knew.
